Doors and Dreams

From City Hall (pictured above) to 555 Capitol Mall, About a Bite Bakery and places all over town, Red Doors are popping up and the buzz is building over our Celebrating30! Campaign. We have helped 30,000 women and children work hard and attain new lives over these past 30 years, but our work is far from over.

While the “Celebrating30!” Campaign highlights and celebrates our success, its higher purpose is to bring awareness to the rise in homeless families in our community, and convey the reality that we have to turn away a staggering 350 women and children daily.

This is unacceptable.

These 350 women and children have names and faces, hopes and dreams. They deserve the chance to work hard and find life’s promise.

We take enormous pride in bringing Real Change to 30,000 people, but we have chosen to honor our 30 Year Anniversary by challenging ourselves, and our supporters, to raise the funds needed to support 30 additional families. That translates to taking 90 more women and children off the street, away from abuse and harm’s way, and providing them the structure and support to make new lives.

Make a Difference. Join our Campaign. Spread the Buzz. Be a hero.

How can you help?

Text ‘RealChange’ to 41444 to Donate and encourage others to do the same by posting on Facebook or Twitter.

“Spot the red door” around town – when you see one, post and share where you found it. It could even be spread beyond the official door posters themselves like “see ANY red door – quick – take a pic and tag it #30YearsRealChange and link it to the donation page www.saintjohnsprogram.org/30donate

Invite friends, family, co-workers, followers, etc. to change their profile pic (fb/twitter/etc.) to the red door (or themselves in front of the red door) and tag it with #30YearsRealChange and link towww.saintjohnsprogram.org/30donate for the month. Make it go viral! Fill Facebook with Red Doors and links to donate!
