Saint John’s Program for Real Change is thrilled to announce the receipt of a generous $4,500 grant from the Walmart Foundation and the Walmart Supercenter in Galt, California. The grant is a testament to the retail giant’s continued commitment to making a positive impact in the communities it serves.
The grant is a boost for Saint John’s Program, which has been dedicated to empowering women facing homelessness and hardship to rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose. The funds will further strengthen the program’s ability to provide comprehensive support services, including counseling, education, job training, and life skills development, for women seeking to break the cycle of poverty and trauma.
Walmart has a long-standing tradition of giving back to the communities it operates in, as exemplified by the words of Mrs. Helen Walton, who once famously said, “It’s not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived.” The company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and community development echoes throughout its charitable endeavors, and the grant to Saint John’s Program continues this tradition.
Through this partnership with Walmart, Saint John’s Program for Real Change can continue to make a profound difference in the lives of vulnerable women and their families. The grant will support critical services that empower women to regain their self-confidence, find stable employment, and create a brighter future for themselves and their loved ones.
As the organization embarks on this new chapter, it is with deep appreciation that Saint John’s Program extends its heartfelt thanks to Walmart for recognizing the importance of empowering women and supporting the community. Together, we will continue to scatter seeds of hope and opportunity, fostering positive change for years to come.
