Get Help

Saint John’s Program for Real Change is a comprehensive 12-18-month residential program for women experiencing homelessness and their children. We provide more than shelter and food. We can help you to rise above devastating, negative elements and achieve job readiness and self-sustainability.

Entry into the program is limited, and each step is extremely rigorous. But those who see it through end up with a rewarding, happy, and productive life – for yourself and your children.

Our staff will let you know the current availability and next steps to join our program. If you are ready to put in the work to create Real Change in your life, we want to support you on your journey.

For Women in Crisis

Outside of our full program, we provide short-term relief to women and children in immediate crisis through our Respite Program. We offer housing, mental health, and supportive services for up to seven days. During this time, you’ll receive a comprehensive evaluation, services, and referrals to help stabilize your current crisis and promote recovery.

To find help through the Respite Program, please call us at (916) 453-1482

Recovery and a stable and self-sufficient life for you and your children may feel completely out of reach. But we’ve seen what can happen when a woman focuses her mind, determination, and strength on a better life for herself and for her children. It’s hard, but you can succeed. And we’ll be here to help you on the journey.

The Respite Program is funded by the Division of Behavioral Health Services through the bother approved Proposition 63, Mental Health Services Act (MHSA).
