After over a decade of successes at Plates Café, we are moving Red Door Desserts and Plates Catering onto our campus. Saint John’s Program for Real Change is also very excited to announce our partnership with Cristo Rey High School Sacramento (CRHSS). Starting July 6th, Saint John’s will hold our Guest Chef Dinners at the CRHSS campus on Jackson Rd.
CRHSS opened its doors in the Sacramento Community in 2006. CRHSS provides a Catholic, college-preparatory high school education to students who come from families with limited financial resources. Through the Work Study Program, students work five days each month in local businesses and non-profits to help offset a portion of the cost of their education. Since 1985, Saint John’s Program for Real Change has been committed to breaking the cycle of poverty and dependence, one family at a time. We provide, on average, 675 comprehensive service hours for each family, every month they are with us. Saint John’s has supported more than 30,000 formerly homeless women and children, providing them with the essential tools and knowledge to change the trajectory of their lives.
