Plates Midtown, run by Saint John’s Program for Real Change, to Serve Free Food and Drinks to Donors on May 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Beginning at midnight on May 3rd, 2016, the Sacramento community will come together for a 24-hour fundraising challenge, the BIG Day of Giving! Raising nearly $9 million last year in support of some 570 local non profits, the community will come together from midnight to midnight to show their pride and support for local nonprofits. Saint John’s Program for Real Change, Sacramento’s largest homeless shelter and the only one focused exclusively on women and children, relies on funds raised from events like this to serve up to 200 clients each day. In support of our goal to generate $50,000 and 300 new donors via this year’s giving challenge, Plates Midtown, (1725 L Street, Sacramento) operated by the clients of Saint John’s, will serve free food and drinks to all donors, contributing $25 or more to Saint John’s, on May 3rd from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Giving is easy, quick, and all online. Just go to www.saintjohnsprogram.org/donate between the hours of 12:00 a.m. May 3 and 11:59 p.m. May 4; your donation of $25 or more will help to effect real change in the lives of homeless women and children.
Up to $1000 dollars will be matched for donations made between 6:30pm to 8:30pm thanks to Mark Napior of Naot Footwear.
Up $5000 will be matched for donations made between 8-10 am thanks to a generous anonymous donor!
